It was another late start today. Really starting to feel like every day is a weekend where there's nothing planned. It's a good thing and a bad thing, I've felt bored for the first time in a long, long time, but at the same time I really miss going out and seeing the town. It's crazy the everyday things you take for granted.
To be honest I didn't do much today, apart from a lot of skateboarding, and a farm ride towards the end of the day.
My brother and I were trying to nail the shuvvit and the ollie, of which he got the shuvvit and I'm starting to get more consistent with my ollies. I've done the shuvvit plenty of times but I just seemed to be psyching myself out and landing without my back foot each time today. So hopefully tomorrow I'll manage to get it. We also began learning the Strawberry Milkshake, which involves stepping off the board and curling it around your foot in a 360 degree motion. Just hoping to get some little tricks like this under my belt that I can learn alongside the kick-flip, to practice when everything isn't going to plan.
Attempted to make hash browns for lunch too, which failed miserably as they didn't fry through, so ended up just having a bowl of grated, crispy potato. Not bad if I do say so myself.
The farm ride was really nice, Cruise and Tina (my mum's horse) were really chill and apart from the southerly wind it was nice to be up on the hill again.
I kind of made some plans for what else I could do during this period, like I considered installing Duolingo again, but part of me doesn't know if I'm ready to face that owl again. I also found some crochet books, so I might take that up again, or maybe knitting, I'm not sure.
Oh, I watched another movie tonight too, Spectral on Netflix. It's pretty cool, one of the better action movies I've seen. It follows this engineer who has invented these military goggles that work on a higher light spectrum. The military runs into some problems, where people start turning up dead, burned on the outside, but frozen on the inside. And it just happens that the engineer's goggles can pick up the invisible creature that is killing these people. I highly recommend it.
But that pretty much sums up my day, and to be honest, I'm not annoyed about the fact that I didn't feel entirely productive, because sometimes I just have to sit back and wind down for a bit. Maybe the feeling of unproductiveness is just anxiety about not being busy? Wow I really am weird.

Hopefully tomorrow there'll be a few more things I can add to the list. I'm debating whether I start writing some little stories again or not, so I'll think that over and some may end up on here.
